Ruler of Sharjah announces salary hike to 17,500 dirhams

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, announced raising salaries to 17,500 dirhams.

His Highness explained, in a telephone interview via the “Direct Line” program, on Sharjah Radio and Television, that the total number of retirees other than the local cadre in the Emirate of Sharjah is 9,866 retirees, including categories whose monthly income is less than 17,500 dirhams, and that the salary must be raised to reach up to 17,500 dirhams, and His Highness continued that the Department of Social Services used to provide urgent support for these cases in amounts ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 dirhams per month per family, but now there are 5,476 families with low incomes that need treatment, and among these retirees are those who have passed away, and among them are those who are laid off. bed, as well as healthy pensioners.

His Highness indicated that the total number of families of the deceased retiree's families amounted to 2,143 families, of whom 1,704 receive support from the Department of Social Services at an amount ranging from 2000 to 3000 dirhams per month, and 439 of them are families that do not receive support because their members did not contact them to obtain support, and these are the contented “You think they are rich out of abstinence,” and we need to bring them in quickly to remedy their situation.

His Highness stressed, "After subtracting the families of deceased retirees and bedridden retirees, from the total number of retired families of 5,476, we are left with 3,217 families, of whom 911 families receive 3,000 dirhams per month from the Social Services Department, and 2,306 families do not receive support from the Department, including the best retirees. May God bless them with a health that enables them to earn money by working, so I developed a plan for them that addresses their conditions, based on the health status of each retiree, as they will join to work in special committees, such as the Environmental Conservation Committee in the wilderness areas, and the retired will work as an inspector in these areas.

His Highness explained, "The number of weekly working days for each retiree will be determined according to his health ability, so that whoever can work one day per week will have that, and whoever can work two hours per day at a rate of two days per week has that, and whoever can work three days we will enable him to do so, to get With that retired person receiving a financial allowance in return for his work, we work and strive to devise appropriate solutions to address the problems of society, in proportion to the details of each individual’s life, and we pray to God to help us in doing good for this society.”
