UAE: Air ticket prices continue to rise

Many travel agency managers have announced that many international travel trips have increased, especially to Arab destinations, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holidays and the events that coincide with it.

Directors of travel agencies said: “The prices of airline tickets to the most requested Arab destinations continue to rise for trips that coincide with the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, at rates of up to 45%,” noting that the bulk of the demand for travel during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday is to visit Family and relatives, in addition to traveling for the purpose of spending holidays in tourist destinations, but at lower rates.

For his part, Executive Director of Dubai World Travel, Badr Ahli, said, "Airline ticket prices to the most demanded Arab destinations in the local market have recorded remarkable rates of increase for flights that coincide with the Eid al-Fitr holiday," noting that prices continue to rise whenever The holiday is approaching, with the number of seats booked on flights increasing.

"The festive seasons are considered one of the main peak periods upon which airlines build their strategies in terms of operation, budgets, and the supply and demand process," said Salah Mansour, CEO of STS, in Dubai Link Group, pointing out that the holiday season It always witnesses an increase in the demand for travel, which naturally leads to an increase in price levels, especially to the most popular destinations.
