Counselor Salah Buforousha Al-Falasi explained that there is a structured procedure to take this action, beginning with the Public Prosecution receiving lists from the police of violations that have occurred within the last five years. These lists are then scrutinized and investigated to make sure that the statute of limitations has not been interrupted by any police action or before the prosecution against the violator.

Al-Falasi noted that the rate of infractions and fines levied against road users in Dubai is utterly unmatched by their numbers, which speaks volumes about the dedication of the majority of drivers. This confirms that there is a high level of awareness, which is furthered by a more than excellent road network, he reported. According to Al-Falasi, most of the drivers on Dubai's roads have attained a certain level of dedication, but a few non-compliant groups continue to face sanctions and penalties.
