A brand new unified visa that enables passport holders to travel freely between six Arab countries, including Schengen.

What are the reasons behind the delay in the rollout of the tourist permit for the GCC unified visa?

According to a senior official, the rollout of the single tourist visa for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is taking some time because states are working on integrating their systems and security issues in preparation for the debut.

Recent events have resulted in the ministers of the area countries giving their approval to the single-tour GCC unified visa.

"A tourist visa for the GCC has already been announced. In order to ensure that everything is in line with these advances, there are several integrations of different states, each of which has its own criteria, such as security standards for each country. According to Issam Kazim, the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), these initiatives are proceeding at a slow pace.

Atlantis, The Royal, was the location of the Skift Conference, which Kazim was speaking at on the second day of the conference.

The ministers of the regional nations recently accepted a single tourist visa for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This visa, which is similar to the Schengen visa, enables tourists to travel throughout all six Gulf Arab countries.

Recent statements made by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, indicate that precise regulations and legislation pertaining to the visa will be drafted. The rollout is scheduled to take place between the years 2024 and 2025, contingent upon the readiness of the internal systems of each GCC member.

The Gulf states are also working on the framework for the fees associated with a unified visa.

Due to the fact that Dubai is a popular tourist destination all over the world and Saudi Arabia is a country that attracts a significant number of religious tourists to Makkah and Madinah, it is thought that the United Arab Emirates, and particularly Dubai, would be the most significant benefactors of this new visa application. It is for this reason that executives in the sector anticipate that there will be a significant influx of tourists between these two countries.
