The Emirates' Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs, and Ports Security has announced the launch of a new service that allows residents with valid residence permits who have been forced to leave the country for more than six months to reactivate their residence and re-enter the country with the same residence.
The entry permit application service became online on Friday, according to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, and does not apply to holders of golden residence.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality of the Emirates also confirmed that the new service was launched to delight customers and enable residents who have valid residencies and were forced to stay outside the country for study, work, or treatment for more than six months and then exhausted the specified period for staying outside the country, resulting in legal cancellation of residence, to stay outside the country for a longer period of time.
The service allows residents to leave the UAE and re-enter the country
It is worth noting that the new service allows these people to reactivate their residence and enter the nation with the same residency following approval from the authorities.
The Emirates Authority for Nationality, Aesthetics, and Federal Identity stated its desire to develop the system of services it provides to customers and make it more user-friendly by simplifying procedures and implementing digital transformation in providing all services and launching new services that meet customers' needs and address the exceptional circumstances they face.
Conditions for reactivating residence and entering the UAE
For those who have been outside the nation for more than 6 months, submitting a copy of their Emirates ID and a copy of their passport, as well as explaining why they were unable to enter the country during that time, is required.
