The school of Khan Younis was attacked by a drone
The Israeli drone attack on Khan Younis school resulted in the injury of Wael al-Dahdouh, the chief of the Gaza bureau for Al Jazeera.
During their coverage of the Gaza conflict, Wael al-Dahdouh and Samer Abu Daqqa, both of whom work for Al Jazeera, were injured in an attack directed by the Israeli government.
Wael al-Dahdouh, a correspondent for Al Jazeera, and Samer Abudaqa, a colleague of this journalist, were both injured by an Israeli strike.
After being struck by an Israeli drone attack close to a school in Khan Younis, Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent Wael al-Dahdouh is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital located in the southern region of Gaza.

The attack occurred while Al-Dahdouh and his colleague Samer Abu Daqqa were reporting from the Al-Haifa school in southern Gaza, according to Al Jazeera Arabic. Both of them sustained injuries as a result of the attack.
Al-Dahdouh is currently receiving medical care at Al-Nasser Hospital for the injuries he sustained from shrapnel, which struck him in the hand and waist.
In a video that was widely disseminated by Al Jazeera, medical personnel can be seen comforting Al-Dahdouh, who is referred to as "Abu Hamza," while the veteran journalist groans in pain and expresses that he is suffering from terrible injuries.
Heavy Israeli shooting and shelling have prevented ambulances from reaching Abu Daqqa, who is still unable to escape the Al-Haifa school where he is currently being held captive.
"The ambulance finds it very difficult to get to him and to save him," Hani Mahmoud, who works for Al Jazeera, said.
A video of the tragic moment that Dahdouh receives the news about his family was uploaded on the internet. At the time of the attack, Dahdouh was reporting from a different area in Gaza. Other members of Al-Dahdouh's family have not yet been located.
The leadership of Gaza has made the accusation that Israel is "assassinating journalists" in order to prevent the message of its ruthless assault on the territory from reaching the rest of the world.
There is no information available regarding the whereabouts or fate of the New Arab reporter Diaa al-Kahlout, who was taken into custody by Israeli forces on December 7th.
