The Council of Ministers announced in one of its sessions, in accordance with the instructions of His Highness the Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, to cancel the decision to stop appointment, promotion, transfer and assignment to all state agencies issued on 12/5/2023.
In accordance with the decision of His Highness the Amir, the Civil Service Commission stated that a new batch of citizens registered in the central employment system will be nominated starting today, noting that other numbers of registered people will continue to be nominated during the coming days.
The sources reported that the Civil Service Commission published the dates of registration periods for citizens in the central employment system for all state agencies for the year 2024 through its website, where the first registration period begins from March to March 15, and the second registration period begins from June 21 to July 5, while the registration period begins. The third from December 6 to December 20.
The sources revealed that the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers urged the ministers to reconsider the appointment, promotion, and transfer decisions. The government also assigned all state agencies to submit their job requirements to the Civil Service Council for approval in accordance with the applicable controls.
The sources continued that the batch of citizens who will be nominated includes between 2,000 and 2,500 registrants, while an educational source added that the Ministry of Education in Kuwait, based on the decision of His Highness the Amir, resumed appointment, transfer, and secondment, and also completed more than 400 previous employment applications that met the necessary conditions that had been specified advance by the responsible bodies.
Transfer and assignment of supervisors in higher education:
Pursuant to a ministerial decision, the Minister of Education and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, stopped transfers, assignments, and assignments to supervisory positions except by his decision, in order to limit any interference that does not serve the educational process.
The sources indicated that Al-Adwani is in the process of re-evaluating performance, and developing several options that enable From selecting candidates for leadership positions according to specific criteria.
The sources also indicated that the Ministry of Education has already begun receiving nomination papers for those eligible for promotion to supervisory positions, as employees who meet the conditions for nomination for supervisory positions have begun receiving notifications through the "Sahl" application.
