"General framework for the flexibility of work types in the federal government" was approved by the Federal National Council yesterday, as revealed during yesterday's session by Minister of State for Governmental and Future Development and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Governmental Human Resources, Ahhouh Bint Khalfan Al -Roumi. The ministers have confirmed that the new system will soon be available for use across all federal agencies. This will allow workers more leeway to choose how and when they get their jobs done, whether that's through compressed work flexibility, hybrid work, or remote work.

The Federal National Council has passed a bill establishing the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, as well as a federal law regarding the Emirates Legal Fatwa Council. The former would introduce strict penalties for those who violate its provisions, including a fine of up to 200,000 dirhams for anyone issuing a general legal fatwa in the country on any of the topics in which the latter specializes, or a special legal fatwa to the public without proper licensing or authorization.

Headquartered by Chairman Saqr Ghobash, the fourth session of the first regular session of the 18th legislative semester of the Federal National Council was held yesterday. The purpose of the meeting was to review two federal draft laws, one pertaining to the Emirates Legal Fatwa Council and the other to the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Zakat Fund. Those present included Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and Director General of the Emirates Legal Fatwa Council, Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais.

The session began with a parliamentary question posed by Maryam Majid bin Thaniyeh, the second vice-president of the Council, to Ahoud Bint Khalfan Al-Roumi, the Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, and the Minister of State for Governmental and Future Development. The question, titled "taking into account the working mother who sponsors special groups," specified the following: "With the amendment that Recently, working hours in the federal government agencies have increased the burdens on the working employee, who sponsors special groups, such as the mother who sponsors children from anxious parents or employees who graze the elderly religion. Therefore, what steps has the Federal Authority for Human Resources taken or can be carried out to address the needs of this category?"
