Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is gearing up to host a private auction in the city, offering a collection of exclusive three-digit vehicle number plates to eager bidders.

These premium plates, totaling 350 in number, encompass variations of three, four, and five digits. They cater not only to owners of private vehicles but also to enthusiasts of vintage automobiles and motorbike aficionados, all bearing distinctive codes ranging from A to X.

As the anticipation builds, prospective buyers are invited to register for the 75th online auction, a process currently underway. Come Monday, April 22nd, at 8 am, the digital gavel will commence its rhythmic descent, initiating five days of spirited bidding. However, amidst the excitement, participants should note that a 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) will be applied to the sale of these coveted license plates.

To partake in this exclusive event, interested parties must adhere to certain prerequisites. Firstly, each bidder is obliged to possess a valid traffic file within the emirate. Additionally, a security check totaling AED 5,000 ($1,400), made payable to the RTA, is mandatory, serving as a measure of commitment. Furthermore, there is a nominal, non-refundable participation fee amounting to AED 120 ($33). Payment avenues are diverse, allowing for convenience, with options including in-person transactions at designated Customer Happiness Centers located in Umm Al Ramool, Al Barsha, or Deira, as well as online payment via credit card through the RTA's official website.

This auction promises not only an opportunity to acquire a prestigious vehicle number plate but also a chance to partake in a celebrated tradition within Dubai's automotive culture. With meticulous planning and stringent regulations in place, the RTA ensures a seamless and transparent process, fostering an environment where enthusiasts and collectors alike can engage in the pursuit of their desired license plates. As the bidding window opens, anticipation mounts, and Dubai's skyline echoes the excitement pulsating through its streets.
