Dubai's Community Development Authority (CDA) has initiated a campaign on its 'Jood' platform to mobilize community support for those affected by recent heavy rainfall and flooding across the UAE.
This endeavor aligns with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
Operated under the purview of the 'Committee for Assisting Weather-Affected Citizens in Dubai,' the campaign, dubbed 'Tadhamon' (solidarity), enables contributions from private sector entities, individuals, and society at large to aid those grappling with the aftermath of adverse weather conditions.
Amidst a surge in requests for assistance from concerned businesses and individuals, the CDA is facilitating their involvement through seamless integration with the 'Jood' digital platform. This integration ensures efficient participation and monitoring of the campaign's progress, with real-time updates on support requirements and achievements readily available.
Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, underscores the campaign's aim to streamline the process for community members and companies keen on extending support to affected individuals. By leveraging the 'Jood' platform, contributors can conveniently offer financial aid for property and home damages incurred.
Contributions received will be channeled towards aiding individuals affected by the weather, including registered beneficiaries of the Community Development Authority and those associated with charities, institutions, and participating entities on the 'Jood' platform.
Through this initiative, Dubai seeks to foster a spirit of solidarity, harnessing the collective efforts of its residents and businesses to alleviate the hardships faced by those impacted by natural disasters.
