The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced the resumption of inter-city bus services to regular operations following disruptions caused by recent adverse weather conditions.
This reinstatement encompasses several key routes, including trips from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Ain Bus Station (E201), from Al Etihad Bus Station to Fujairah Bus Station (E700), from Etisalat Metro Station to Muwaileh Bus Station in Sharjah (E315), and from Etisalat Metro Station to Ajman Bus Station (E411).
Furthermore, the RTA has affirmed the restoration of normal traffic flow across Dubai's streets, attributing this achievement to collaborative efforts with Dubai Municipality across various regions of the emirate. Specifically, the reopening of the tunnel at the intersection of Rabat Street and Marrakesh Street near Festival City, as well as the normalization of traffic at the intersection of Sheikh Zayed Street and Al Manara Street in both directions, has been confirmed. Additionally, the Jurn al-Sabkha tunnel has been reopened to traffic.
In terms of Dubai Metro services, the RTA has confirmed the resumption of service to all Green Line stations. For the Red Line, service is available in both directions from the Centrepoint station to the Expo 2020 station and from the Jebel Ali station to the United Arab Emirates Exchange station, with no stops at the On Pacific, Equity, Mashreq, and Energy stations.
Moreover, taxi and public bus services have returned to their previous status, with ongoing efforts to mitigate any potential obstacles. Dubai residents are encouraged to adapt to the prevailing weather conditions.
Tram services, along with all their lines and service capacities, have also resumed, with acknowledgment for the cooperation of tram users in facing the recent adverse weather conditions. The RTA emphasizes the normal operation of all vehicle inspection centers and customer happiness centers.
To enhance customer convenience, Dubai Roads has introduced electronic services through its application, enabling customers to complete transactions remotely.
Furthermore, individuals who have lost their vehicle plates due to recent weather conditions are urged to report the loss promptly through the RTA’s official website to ensure their comfort and avoid penalties.
