Dubai temporarily suspends some bus services on New Year Eve

Several public bus services in Dubai will be temporarily suspended on New Year's Eve, according to the city's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Temporary Bus Service Suspensions:

As part of New Year's Eve preparations, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced the temporary suspension of 25 public bus routes. The suspension will be in effect from 3:30 p.m. on December 31 until 6 a.m. on January 1.

Continuous Metro and Tram Operations:

Residents may be certain that Dubai Metro and Tram services will be running nonstop on New Year's Eve to accommodate those attending the festivities. Forty hours of nonstop Metro service will begin at 8 a.m. on December 31 and terminate at the tail end of January 1. Beginning at 9 a.m. on December 31 and ending at 1 a.m. on January 2, the tram service will run continuously.

Free additional buses:

To address increased demand during the festivities, the RTA has introduced a fleet of 230 additional buses. These buses will be available free of charge on New Year's Eve, contributing to efforts to minimize traffic congestion and provide convenient transportation options for celebrants.
