Abu Dhabi has issued new decisions for companies regarding the transfer of work permits and licenses.

We have streamlined the process of transferring work permits and licenses from Al Reem Island-based enterprises to Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This is being done in order to establish a work environment that is both attractive and supportive for the business sector in the capital.

On Friday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (Mohre) and the Abu Dhabi General Manager (ADGM) signed a memorandum of understanding that will "enhance ease of doing business, boost the efficiency, attractiveness, and competitiveness of the UAE labor market, and enable the provision of services that ensure the utmost ease and efficiency," as stated by Khalil Al Khoori, the undersecretary of Mohre.

Those businesses that are successful in obtaining an ADGM license will be able to take advantage of the numerous benefits that the market provides. These benefits include the direct application of English Commons legislation, as well as tax advantages and progressive rules.

According to Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, the Chief Executive Officer of the ADGM Registration Authority, "Our close collaboration sets an example for us to follow when establishing integration between ADGM and various government entities, as a means to create an attractive and supportive work environment for the business sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi."

In addition, he stated that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is a component of our ongoing efforts to guarantee a seamless transfer for businesses that are now operating on Al Reem Island to ADGM, where they will be able to take advantage of the additional value that the market offers with its extensive and innovative ecosystem.
