Private schools in Abu Dhabi have notified students' families about a decrease in school hours during Ramadan. School hours will be reduced to four hours, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, except on Fridays when it will be two hours, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The last day of the second semester will be on March 22, and the third semester will commence on April 15 after Eid al-Fitr.

Private schools have notified students' families that spring break will begin on Saturday, March 23, and end on Sunday, April 14. The second semester report for each student will be provided after the spring break, with the current week being the last week. Regarding all extracurricular activities during Ramadan, starting next week.

Schools announced the suspension of school canteen services during Ramadan. They stated that the school will not offer food but will continue to provide water. Parents of non-fasting children were urged to ensure their children have a meal when they come to school.

The schools requested that families ensure their children attend on the specified dates and not promote absences, as poor attendance will not be accepted. Insufficient student numbers in class hinder the teacher's ability to explain the curriculum. Students will only be registered if they arrive. Arriving after 9:30 a.m. is deemed tardy.

Schools stress the importance of good attendance and punctuality for high academic performance. Research indicates that students who miss more than seven school days a year are more likely to achieve lower grades compared to those with perfect attendance. Additionally, being late by 5 minutes each day can result in 3 days of lost learning per school year. Parents should consider this when planning future travel arrangements for their child.
