A female inhabitant of Sharjah has been arrested and will be subject to harsh punishment.

An Indonesian lady in her 30s has been detained in Sharjah on allegations of terminating the pregnancy of her eight-month-old fetus and disposing of the body in a rubbish can.

When a lady in the Al Majaz neighborhood of Sharjah was having what was described as a "cardiac arrest" and bleeding, the situation was brought to the notice of the authorities. The call was made to the national ambulance service.

The ladies were taken to the hospital by the paramedics who arrived at the scene. Additionally, the incident was reported to the Al Buhairah Police Station, which began an inquiry into the possibility of a criminal act.

Subsequently, a group of law enforcement officers searched the apartment of the lady and discovered the body of the fetus being disposed of in the garbage can. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that she had been living with her boyfriend, who was also of Asian nationality. This lady has been brought into jail by the Sharjah Police Department, and an inquiry into the event has been initiated.
