Just a few days after heavy rainfall battered the United Arab Emirates, the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Airports sent an open letter to passengers. The statement that Dubai Airport issued to travelers following the calamity caused by the heavy rain.
Take a look at his entire statement here:
This time it is the heaviest rainfall ever recorded in the United Arab Emirates, which has caused significant disruptions to our operations as well as to our guests and our colleagues. We find ourselves in a position to deal with the impacts of yet another exceptional event.
Our primary goal is to ensure the well-being of our passengers and restore Dubai International Airport (DXB) operations to their regular schedule. This is done to ensure that passengers are able to reach their destinations in the shortest amount of time possible.
This is uncharted territory for us, and it presents a unique set of issues; nevertheless, you can be confident that the whole airport community, including my Dubai Airports team, airline partners, commercial partners, and service partners, is working persistently and fiercely to address these challenges. We are demonstrating resiliency and determination as we work through this issue with our combined efforts.
During this difficult moment, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our visitors for their patience and cooperation, and I would also like to apologize for the frustration and difficulty that this situation has caused. We are grateful to you for your comprehension.
