Due to the terrible weather, airlines in the United Arab Emirates have asked passengers to arrive early today and tomorrow.

Emirates Airlines also requested that travelers allow extra time to arrive at the airport early to prevent delays.

Emirates Airlines reported that all flights from Emirates, Etihad, and Flydubai are operating as planned and unaffected by the bad weather.

"Due to strong thunderstorms forecast in Dubai on February 11 and 12, clients traveling to Dubai International Airport may encounter delays. We recommend allowing extra travel time to get to the airport and completing check-in processes ahead of time for improved convenience.

Another Dubai-based airline, Flydubai, stated, "Please allow extra time for your journey to the airport. You should attempt to arrive four hours before your flight's departure.

"To stay up to date on the status of your flight, check our website. Add your contact information to your reservation so that we can stay in touch with you. Check in online before you arrive at the airport.

Meanwhile, all Etihad Airways flights from Abu Dhabi "are operating as usual at the present time."

The National Center of Meteorology had earlier stated that the country would continue to have rain and winds of various strength until Tuesday, resulting in reduced horizontal visibility.

It is accompanied by cumulus clouds, varying degrees of rainfall, lightning and thunder in various areas, a noticeable drop in temperature, moderate-speed winds that are occasionally active and severe, and clouds churning up dust and dust.

It impairs horizontal vision, and the sea becomes boisterous, occasionally turbulent, with active clouds in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
