In accordance with a resolution made by the Cabinet, it was declared that Emirati passports for citizens who are over the age of 21 would be valid for a period of ten years, which is an increase from the present period of five years.

Through various social media platforms, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, made the announcement.

Sheikh Mohammed stated that at the meeting that took place on Monday, March 18, the Cabinet gave its approval to adjustments that were made to the executive rules of the federal law on citizenship and passports.

He stated, "We have given our approval to extend the validity period of the United Arab Emirates passport from five to ten years for Emiratis who are at least 21 years old."

Furthermore, the new changes include the provision of complete digital services and other facilitations, which will be given by the competent authorities.

Following a comprehensive Cabinet meeting that took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, the statement was made. The discussion discussed a variety of topics, including required health insurance updates and the elimination of dangerous information from the internet, among other topics.
