Citizens of the United Arab Emirates are exempted from the requirement to obtain a visa to enter Turkey for the purpose of tourism.
Citizens of six countries, including four Arab countries, are no longer required to obtain a visa in order to enter Turkey for tourism purposes. This decision, which was published on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in the official gazette of Turkey, gives citizens of these countries the opportunity to visit Turkey for tourism purposes without the need to obtain a visa before traveling for a period of up to ninety days within a period of one hundred eighty days.
Decision of the President of Türkiye
In accordance with the decision that was signed by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, nationals of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, and the kingdom of Bahrain, as well as citizens of the United States of America and Canada, were granted visa exemption.
Turkish presidential decree
The Turkish presidential decree that exempts citizens of certain Arab countries from the need to obtain entry visas when visiting the country for tourist purposes was published in the official gazette of Turkey on Saturday. The decree also includes provisions that exempt citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, the United States of America, and Canada from the need to obtain entry visas for tourist purposes.
One-time exemption decision
For a period of ninety days every 180 days, those who hold a regular passport from one of the countries listed above are exempt from the requirement to obtain a visa.
