UAE: Ajman Private Schools Implement Distance Learning Amidst Unstable Weather

Some emirates in the UAE, such as Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain, and Sharjah, have taken precautions to make sure that students at private schools can stay safe and continue their education despite the severe weather that has hit many parts of the country.

Recognizing the need to adapt to unpredictable weather patterns that might endanger students and staff, the three Emirati governorates of Ajman, Abu Dhabi, and Umm Al Quwain have chosen to institute remote learning for private schools operating inside their respective territories. In order to emphasize safety in the face of unfavorable weather circumstances, official institutions in Abu Dhabi have ordered a shift towards remote study and work starting on Tuesday, April 16.

In Ajman, students are expected to participate in remote learning on Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17, in preparation for the predicted stormy weather in the following days. As a precaution, nurseries in Umm Al Quwain will be closed on Tuesday, April 16, and public and private institutions in the area will begin using remote learning.

In addition, as part of their proactive strategy to prepare for dangerous weather, Sharjah has also stated that pupils at private schools will have two days of remote study.

To ensure educational continuity and put the well-being of students and educators first, Dubai had earlier announced the implementation of remote learning for all private schools on Tuesday, April 16. This was done in anticipation of any weather-related difficulties.

On Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17, public schools in the UAE will also be implementing obligatory remote learning in order to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The emirates of the United Arab Emirates have issued directives that show they are working together to lessen the effect of dangerous weather on education. One of their main goals is to encourage remote learning so that everyone involved in the educational process can stay safe.
