Urgent Dubai Government: Remote work will continue on Tuesday

It is His Majesty As a result of the weather conditions, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, gave the order for the continuation of remote work on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

Employees working for any government agency in the Emirate of Dubai are affected by this decision, with the exception of those working in positions that require them to be physically present at the workplace.

On the other hand, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, was present at a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding between Egypt and the Emirates in the field of developing government work. The ceremony took place today, Monday, and included the extension of the period of implementation of the provisions of the memorandum that was concluded between the two countries for a period of two years, until February 28, 2026.

On the margins of his participation in the events of the World Government Summit 2024, which was hosted by the city of Dubai, the memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development of the United Arab Emirates and the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. This will take place between the 12th and 14th of February.

Both Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Mohammed Abdullah Al-Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, put their signatures on the memorandum.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is in accordance with the distinguished bilateral relations that exist between the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the government of the United Arab Emirates. This is also in furtherance of the success that was enjoyed by the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between the two countries on February 12, 2018, and which has been extended multiple times, most recently on March 28, 2022. The date of expiration is February 28th, 2024.
