Emirates Roads Authority calls to avoid using the metro at rush hour

The Roads and Transport Authority advised metro users to avoid using the metro during peak times.

The authority also called on metro users to plan their trips according to the number of stations announced until normal movement resumes at all stations, adding that it is making every effort to deal with the effects on some metro stations.

Reliable sources reported that some changes have been made in the transit time on the Dubai Metro Red Line, and among these changes is the metro not stopping at the On Pacific, Equity, Mashreq, and Energy stations.

It also called on passengers to follow the directional signs and cooperate with metro and bus station employees, and the Emirates Roads and Transport Authority stated that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street at the Al Maktoum International Airport roundabout has been reopened to traffic.

The UAE contributes $50 million to the Livelihood Fund:

Sources revealed that the UAE contributed $50 million to finance the second phase of the Livelihood and Livelihood Fund, with the aim of advancing sustainable development in the member states of the Islamic Development Bank.

The sources reported that the second phase was allocated to strengthening vital projects in various fields such as health, infectious diseases, agriculture, and social infrastructure in low-income countries and middle-income countries within the 32-country Islamic Development Bank group.

During the conference, His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated that the funding reflects the UAE’s commitment and keenness to cooperate with its partners to support communities in need around the world, by providing solutions that enhance sustainable development solutions that contribute to improving the quality of life of communities, driving economic growth and achieving prosperity in developing countries.
