UAE Meteorology issues widespread warnings due to heavy rain and Overcast skies in these areas this week

The National Center of Meteorology in the United Arab Emirates issued a warning to all residents about the gradual increase in the chances of rain falling in a number of different areas of the country, and the rain will be in the form of successive and rapid waves, in addition to warning of overcast skies in the Emirates.

During the statement issued today, the National Center of Meteorology explained that there was light rain in some areas of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, and the Center called on motorists to be careful and drive with extreme caution due to slippery roads during rain.

The National Center of Meteorology in the Emirates also predicted that the rain will be moderate and heavy, accompanied by lightning and thunder sometimes, especially from midnight until midday tomorrow, and it may be accompanied by some hail falling on limited areas of the east and north of the country.

The center added in the statement it published a short while ago that the chance of rain will gradually decrease as of tomorrow evening, pointing out that the weather will be dusty and cloudy in general, with rain continuing to fall in separate areas of the country, and the winds will remain southeasterly, turning to moderate northwesterly. It is active in speed and strong on the sea with active clouds, and it raises dust and dirt, leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility.

The Center also expected wind speeds to range from 15 to 30 km/h, reaching 50 km/h on the sea, which has turbulent to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman. According to the center, the amount of clouds and rain will decrease starting next Wednesday, with the weather becoming partly cloudy and cloudy at times in the south, with a drop in temperatures.

It is also noteworthy that the Center brought light rain early this morning to tourists on the Sharjah-Emirates road towards Dubai, light rain on Ghalila in Ras Al Khaimah, and light rain on some areas of Abu Dhabi.
