UAE Police explains how to obtain a certificate Vehicles damaged by heavy rain

The General Command of the Police in the United Arab Emirates has requested that all nationals and residents of the Emirates visit the website of the police department in order to receive a certificate stating that they have damaged or destroyed their vehicles.

How to obtain a vehicle destruction certificate in the Emirates

The Sharjah Police Command explained that citizens and residents of Al-Ghamarat can obtain a certificate of vehicle damage due to rain through the Sharjah Police website, and follow the following steps:

1- Enter the Sharjah Police website.

2- Choose (Police Services) from the list of services.

3- Choose the “To Whom It May Concern” certificate, and select the (Criminal) option.

4- Select the certificate type (destruct), then enter the verification code (OTP).

5- Fill out all the fields and apply for the service.

Adherence to safety procedures

The police called on citizens and residents to adhere to safety measures in order to preserve lives and property, and to avoid places in valleys, where water accumulates, and floods flow.

With the necessity of taking caution while driving vehicles, and reducing speed, calling for adherence to safety guidelines and instructions of the competent authorities, not circulating rumors and false news, and taking information from official sources.

A fine for gathering near valleys and floods

Sharjah Police also published the text of Article 115, which stipulates a fine of 1,000 dirhams and 6 traffic points for gathering near places of valleys, torrents and dams during rainy weather.

It also includes a fine of 2,000 dirhams, 23 traffic points, and vehicle impoundment for 60 days for entering valleys while they are flowing, regardless of the level of danger.

Penalty for obstructing traffic or ambulance and rescue

The UAE Traffic Law also stipulates a fine of up to 1,000 UAE dirhams, 4 traffic points, and vehicle impoundment for 60 days for obstructing the competent authorities from carrying out their work regarding regulating traffic and traffic or ambulance and rescue during emergencies, disasters, crises, rainfall, and valley flow.
